Student Visa - Subclass 500

Purpose:

The Student Visa subclass 500 allows international students to live, study, and work in Australia for the duration of their enrolled course. It supports a wide range of study options, including:

  • English Language Intensive Courses (ELICOS)
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET)
  • Higher education (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
  • Non‑award foundation or bridging programs
  • School-level studies

This visa also allows eligible family members to accompany you.

Prerequisite:

You must meet several criterias

1. Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

You must have a valid CoE from a CRICOS‑registered education provider.

2. Genuine Student (GS) Requirement

3. English Language Requirement

Depending on your course, you may need to provide IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, or equivalent results.

4. Financial Capacity

5. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
