Family Visa to Australia

Australian government understands that the family needs to be together providing them a chance with Family Visa To Australia. Under this family migration scheme, eligible persons (Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident) can sponsor their family members to live with them in Australia on temporary or permanent basis.
Both the sponsor and applicant will need to satisfy the eligibility criteria which varies depending on which visa you qualify for.
There are 4 options:
- Parent visa (subclass 103)
- Contributory Parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 173)
- Contributory parent visa (subclass 143)
- Aged Parent visa (subclass 804)
The sponsor will be required to provide support to the applicant for up to two years from the time they arrive in Australia. In addition, the sponsor may be required to provide a written undertaking and in some cases will be required to provide an Assurance of Support (AoS).
The applicant will need to meet the eligibility criteria for the visa in question. This includes satisfying the health and character requirements, meeting the balance-of-family test and providing biometric identification.
Parent Visa
Parent visa (subclass 103)
Contributory Parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 173)
Contributory parent visa (subclass 143)
Aged Parent visa (subclass 804)
Parent visa (subclass 103)
Purpose:
This visa lets parents live in Australia if their child is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen who is settled in Australia.
There can be long waiting times of up to 30 years before this visa is approved.
Prerequisite:
You might be able to get this visa if you:
- are sponsored
- meet the balance-of-family test
- are prepared to wait in a queue before your visa can be decided.
Contributory Parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 173)
Purpose:
This visa lets parents live in Australia for up to two years if they are the parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen who is settled in Australia.
You can apply separately for a permanent Contributory Parent visa (subclass 143) to stay in Australia permanently.
Prerequisite:
You might be able to get this visa if you:
- are sponsored
- meet the balance-of-family test
- are prepared to pay much higher visa application charges for faster processing.
Contributory parent visa (subclass 143)
Purpose:
This visa lets parents live permanently in Australia if their child is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen who is settled in Australia.
Prerequisite:
You might be able to get this visa if you hold a Contributory Parent (Temporary) visa (subclass 173), or you:
- are sponsored
- meet the balance-of-family test
- are prepared to pay higher visa application charges for faster processing.
Aged Parent visa (subclass 804)
Purpose:
This visa lets older parents live in Australia if their child is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen who is settled in Australia.
There can be long waiting times of up to 30 years before this visa is approved.
