What Is New 482 Visa Salary Threshold for 2026–27?
From 1 July 2026, the minimum salary requirements for 482 visa will increase to: $79,499 (core skills) and $146,717 (Specialist Skills)
Why Is 482 Visa Salary Threshold Increasing?
The Australian Government adjusts employer‑sponsored visa salary requirements each year to:
- Reflect national wage growth
- Protect local labour market standards
- Ensure sponsored workers are paid fairly
- Support a more skilled, higher‑paid migration program
